#Pre-Order# DDA – 1/18 Scale – BRUT 1969 Ford Boss 302 Trans Am Mustang #33 Allan Moffat Scale Model Replica
Allan race his Trans-Am Mustang from May 1969 until January 1975, winning 101 race from 151 starts. Impressively it started on pole 114 times. Allan’s original Coca Cola sponsorship ended in 1972 and he picked up a new major sponsorship by Faberge’s Brut 33 range of men’s toiletries in mid 1973. The sponsorship involved the repaint of the Trans-Am in the corporate colour of Brut, being dark green and silver.
The first race for the ‘Brut 33’ Trans-Am was at Oran Park Raceway on September 16th 1973 in which it won the final round of the rich Grace Bros-Toby Lee Series. Allan continued racing the Trans-Am in Brut 33 colours through until November 1974. After a racing accident in April 1974, The Trans-Am was given a fresh paint job with a different version of the Brut 33 paint scheme as well as the fitment of different wheels.
This new model is of the 2nd Brut 33 livery and is the first time in any scale that it has been produced in this livery. This model has been produced exactly as the Trans-Am raced at the Sandown on November 2nd, 1974, the last race for the Trans-Am on Australian soil, also the last time it appeared in the Brut colours.
