A 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 was used in the 1993 movie Demolition Man starring Sylvester Stallone, Sandra Bullock and Wesley Snipes. It was purchased from the GM Heritage Collection on an MSO. The very special 442 W30 that is indisputably documented by its certificate of origin from GM. Oldsmobile modified the car for the movie with performance options not offered to the public. The 442 is one of the fastest Oldsmobiles ever sold by GM. In the movie Demolition Man, set mostly in the year 2032, this Matador Red 1970 Olds 442 W30 is discovered by police officers John Spartan (played by Sylvester Stallone) and Lenina Huxley (played by Sandra Bullock) in the slums of San Angeles. Using an old elevator, the car bursts up through the floor of a modern-day Oldsmobile dealership and Stallone’s character drives it out of the showroom onto the street beginning an extensive car chase scene
