There is no question that Big John Mazmanian was born with racing and hot rodding in his blood.. At the age of 14 he rebuilt a ’32 Ford Highboy for his auto shop class! People soon took notice of Big John’s skills building and customizing hot rods, and had him build their hot rods. He loved finishing off a build off with his trademark candy apple red paint. However, there is one Mazmanian machine that stands above all the others, his A/GS ’41 Gasser with a blown Chrysler Hemi. This car has become an iconic piece of history among drag racers and fans alike. Big John set several records with this car throughout its career. The most notable being the first A/GS Gasser to eclipse the 150mph mark.
