ACME – 1/18 Scale – LoBianco Brothers & Co. 1933 Willy’s Gasser Diecast Model Replica
The early 70’s saw a flurry of great drag cars and variations on the track which made it one of the most diverse times for the sport. From the mild stockers to full blown rail dragsters, you had a class for almost anything that could go fast. One of the more unique and colorful creations on the track was the Lo Bianco Bros. & Co. ’33 gasser’. Owned by John Lo Bianco from New Jersey. He travelled and ran in the southeast circuit and proved itself to be a very competitive car even with 40 years on it! Powered by a venerable 392 Hemi and backed by a 3 speed transmission. It ran a best of 7.675 1/4 mile @ 186mph. It was definitely a child of the 70’s with it’s wild paint scheme which really set this gasser apart from the rest. The term “Mala Figura” roughly translates to bad appearance and this gasser definitely is one bad ride!
