Artesania Latina ART-22135 – 1/41 Scale Virginia Schooner Wooden Ship Model

The Virgina was designed in 1819 and launched that same year. Also known as schooners, these boats offered great maneuverability and elegance. The Virginia was equipped with a central swivel mounted carronade. Being lightly armed with high-speed capability the Virginia was used as a coast guard boat for pursuit and intercepting tasks.

This kit includes pre-cut plywood keel section and frames, and double planked hull. Blocks and deadeyes are yellow boxwood. Eyelets, bracers, belaying pins, and cabin door hinges are brass, as are the 250 miniature nails used to fasten the hull and deck planking…
