Forces of Valor – 1/700 Scale – USS Iowa-class Battleship, USS Missouri BB-63 Diecast Scale Model Replica
The U.S.S. Missouri is an ‘Iowa’ class battleship that has served the American Navy proudly through 3 wars — WWII, Korea, and The Gulf War. Her powerful arsenal of 16-inch main battery guns, anti-aircraft guns and missile launchers have made ‘The Mighty Mo’ one of the most formidable ships ever to sail the seas of modern warfare. After supporting the Pacific 3rd Fleet in assaults on Tokyo, Iwo Jima and Okinawa, her decks served as the site of Japan’s unconditional surrender to the Allies on Sept. 2, 1945, which marked the end of WWII. Decommissioned in 1992, this 887-foot-long legend of seagoing steel lives on — continuing to serve her country as a memorial and museum at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii.
Forces of Valor ® Missouri is constructed of die cast metal and plastic, with metal used for the lower portion of the hull and plastic for the upper portion. The conning tower and guns are recreated in plastic, providing the highest possible level of detail. The rotating turrets feature elevating cannons. The superstructure details include movable cranes, hand painted lifeboats, antennas and mast.
