Entered by Essex Wire Corporation, this GT40 Mk I was part of Ford’s massive effort to secure a historic victory over Ferrari. Despite a strong and experienced driver pairing, the car was forced to retire due to mechanical trouble. It nonetheless represents the enormous commitment made by Ford in 1966, the year the GT40 firmly established its legend in endurance racing.
The goal of NSR is to create a Classic car using modern technologies—a high-end, ready-to-race vehicle. It had to perform right out of the box.
The Ford Mk IV is an innovative model, equipped with high-tech components, offering top-level performance on the track while faithfully respecting the real model’s scale proportions.
The motor is a Shark 21.5 EVO, delivering 21,900 RPM at 12 volts with a torque of 164 gr/cm.
New competition-grade bushings for the EVO motor mount.
The special aluminum rims, with AIR SYSTEM technology, combined with soft rubber tires, provide exceptional grip on all types of surfaces. Hardened steel axles (60 HRC) in 3/32” format. Aluminum rims with Air System technology.
